Anchors away! The Lepley family, including several small children, recently joined me for some Outer Banks beach portraits. Along with the typical large family portraits and the individual family units, we were able to capture several candid moments with the kids and their parents. They even brought a sail boat water floaty for their little one to play in! I always encourage families to bring toys and activities for kids to play with during their OBX family photography session. It keeps them happy, and the toys turn into props... which make for great candid shots! If you're looking for your own Outer Banks family portraits, hit me up!

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
When I was growing up, my family would take vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I remember body surfing in the waves, fishing off the piers, and building sand castles. As my life has unfolded, I have found myself lucky enough to live on the OBX with my wife, Amy, raising our young son in the sand.
When you book your OBX vacation, it’s one of the few times during the year when your whole family gets together. Of course, you want to get some memorable shots with your family on the beach! My fun and energetic style will bring smiles to the faces of both adults and children. Even Uncle Bob who hates having his picture taken will be enjoying himself!
I have been photographing since 2001, and there are few backdrops as beautiful as our Outer Banks beaches. Whether you’ve booked one of the huge houses in Corolla, or have nestled in the quiet corners of Rodanthe, or are enjoying views of the Hatteras Lighthouse, I’d love to talk with you about photographing your family. Call, text, or email to get to know me a little better. Until then, peruse the galleries, and start dreaming about your OBX family vacation!
I love Outer Banks Family Photography, and I love being an Outer Banks Family Photographer. Come book a session and see how much I love your family as well.
