There tends to be a lot of faith involved with being an Outer Banks Photographer. For example, last night an incredibly intense but relatively tiny thunderstorm swept over the OBX. And while everyone was scurrying off the beach and driving South out of Corolla (supposedly to find something else to do in neighboring Kitty Hawk), I was traveling North towards the Ziemba Family and my 7pm photo shoot. With one eye fixed on the road and the other irresponsibly checking the radar, I said a little prayer that the storm would blow over and get out of the way so that we could have our shoot on the beach. Well, at the North end of Duck, the "Gully Washer" broke and all we were left with were amazing clouds and empty beaches. I love being an OBX photographer! I hope you enjoy these highlights as much as I enjoyed shooting them!
