Hello All!
I apologize for spending the first half of the winter away from my keyboard. But as some of you may know, just after Christmas 2021, my wife Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Between chemo, radiation, and surgery our family had very little free time. Thankfully the year-long battery of treatments were successful. Nonetheless, it has taken a toll on both our bodies and our minds. So when all was said and done, our entire family was suffering from a near debilitating case of burnout. Luckily, Amy (who is a youth pastor), decided to take a sabbatical for several weeks and we escaped to Kentucky for a much-needed vacation. Now that we have returned we are trying to create some semblance of normalcy.
I cannot express how grateful I am to each and every one of you who have entrusted your family's memories to me over the years. Even though the shadows of burnout are still there, I am confident that this summer is going to be one of my best. With that said, I need a little help from you. If you have friends or family vacationing this year and they just happen to be in the Outer Banks, let them know I'm around. If this past year has shown me one thing, it's that we need to hold strong to the memories we create together. It's shown me that my gift of Photography, is much more important than just making photos of smiling faces. Because we never know what is going to happen from year to year. And I want to be there to help you remember the good times.
We don't have very many photos of ourselves from this past year, but those that were taken, show smiles and happiness...
From my family to yours, I wish you an amazing and prosperous year. I hope to see you on the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Always your photographer,
Jason
